Dr. Shivanand S Patil

Dr. Shivanand Patil is an accomplished Cardiologist from Karnataka, who completed his MBBS from M R Medical College, Gulbarga in 1997, MD (Internal Medicine) from the same college in 2001 and DM (Cardiology) from Sri Jayadeva Institute Of Cardiology, Bangalore in 2007.

He has been associated with Department of Cardiology of various renowned Institutes in Hyderabad and Bangalore apart from his stint at Dept. of Cardiology at Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad as a Registrar in 2001. He is an Associate Professor of Cardiology in Sri Jayadeva Institute Of Cardiovascular Sciences & Research, Bangalore since 2011.

He is an adept Non-Interventional & Interventional Cardiologist. His mastery in Non-Interventional Cardiology lies in conducting and interpreting 2D Echo and Doppler studies, both adult and paediatrics. During his more than a decade career, Dr. Shivanand Patil has conducted nearly 1,000 TEE’s as a protocol before PTMC’s and Device closures. His skill set also includes interpreting complex rhythm abnormalities of heart, analysing Holter Monitoring; exercising Tolerance Test (TMT), Dobutamine Stress Echo (DSE), Contrast Echocardiography & Radionuclide studies (Myocardial Perfusion Scan), interpreting CT Angio and MR Angio for the detection of various Coronary Anomalies as well as Congenital defects.

In Interventional Cardiology, he has expertise in conducting Coronary Angiogram (both femoral and radial approach), Coronary Angioplasties, Mitral Valvuloplasties, implant Pacemakers. He has also been assisting in CRT and ICD implantation, Tran Catheter Embolization of various Anomalies like AVM’s and can also conduct device closure of ASD, VSD and PDA independently.

Dr. Shivanand Patil is a regular in attending various international workshops and conferences which include American College of Cardiology, Orlando and EURO PCR in Paris.
